WORK MENTOR PROGRAM Through partnerships with other humanitarian organizations, Builders of Hope provides quality on-the-job career training and work mentorship programs producing tangible, whole-life results for at-risk unemployed youth and the homeless. Upon completion of on-site training with Builders of Hope, these program participants will be well-prepared to enter our community’s workforce and make a positive difference in their lives. Together with our partnership with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board we will implement North Carolina’s first YouthBuild program. Through Project New Build, 18-30 Wake County at-risk youth will earn their GED, take construction training classes at Wake Tech and learn hands-on skills on the Builders of Hope job site. Builders of Hope will provide job site mentors, tools, building materials and skill building opportunities. With the Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Long Term Recovery Program we provide on the job training to an average of 6 residents a month. Upon completion of the program they can apply to Builders of Hope for permanent employment or transition into the workforce. We are currently in discussions with other humanitarian organizations and welcome other work mentor partnerships. Please contact us at 919-830-6666.
